About me
I am a professor and the Raymond A. Young chair in the Department of Management in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. I received my PhD in Organizational Behavior from Michigan State University. After working in a couple of universities in the South and the Midwest, I have been on the faculty in the Department of Management at Oklahoma State University since 2019.
My research focuses on affective and motivational processes, seeking to understand how individuals perceive and react to their environment and during interactions with other people. This work has been published in outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
I have served, or am still serving, on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. I was also Rep-At-Large for the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management (2018-2021). I'm passionate about graduate methods education, having given or participated in PDWs and workshops for the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association, and the Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis; for the latter, I have particularly enjoyed presenting a short course on Within-Person Research.
